Nikon Image Authentication System Vulnerability

Apparently Nikon's Image Authentication system has been hacked. Individuals (Elcomsoft - a Russian Security Firm [insert eyeroll]) were able to retrieve the key used to sign images from the images themselves. This allows individuals with this knowledge to sign edited images, thus thwarting Nikon's Authentication system. The Nikon Authentication System is used primarily in order to ascertain if an image has been modified after creation. This has been marketed to be an important part of court proceedings, and the use of digital imaging as evidence. Or as Nikon states...

Recently the PHP-Nuke community has seen an increase in spammers. Guardian of code-authors.com is aiding the PHP-community in preventing this rising concern by creating tools to identify, stop, and track particular sites and or users. Spam Blocker™, one of Code-Authors recent releases which has just been updated to version 0.2 Beta, is an excellent addition to the tools we all rely on to help prevent malicious behavior.

RavenNuke(tm) Version 2.10.01 Released!
Finally! A bundled RavenNuke(tm) distribution (based from nuke v7.6) with all of the latest patches installed as well as the latest NukeSentinel(tm) release (2.5.10 as of this writing) and more. This FULL release is basically a fix pack release only - with all fixes to any known issues since v2.10.00 was released - No new features. Simply ftp the files, make a few changes in configuration files, run the installer, and you have a site with all the protection that this one does!

Nikon Releases Nikon Transfer and Nikon ViewNX Software!

Nikon this week released two new software applications, the image upload program Nikon Transfer version 1.0.1 and the image browser Nikon ViewNX version 1.0.0. The software are compatible with both Windows and Macintosh platforms and are currently available online.
